"ONSLAUGHT are off to Japan with VENOM, DEATH ANGEL and SODOM in September to play Thrash Domination 06 Festival in Tokyo and would like to announce a warm-up date at Finns Bar Weymouth on 10th September.
"There will be two local support bands, PLAGUE (who will use this event as an album-release gig) and another local band, ARCHAIC ARCAINUM, to help bring the house down.
"Tickets for the Weymouth gig will be available on the door at £5.00. For more information call 01305 778098.
"This is the first time ONSLAUGHT have played in Japan and the band are very much looking forward to playing there.
"ONSLAUGHT are currently half way through recording their fourth studio album, 'Killing Peace', which is now due out for release in February on Candlelight Records.
"This album is far more brutal and aggressive musically than anything ONSLAUGHT has released in the past. These songs are going to be killer live and we can't wait to get out their and play them."
"Killing Peace" is being recorded at Backstage studio in Derbyshire, England with producer Andy Sneap (ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE, MACHINE HEAD, EXODUS). Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Destroyer of Worlds", "Pain", "Tested to Destruction", "Burn", "Shock and Awe", "Prayer for the Dead", "Twisted Jesus", and "Killing Peace". The band's current lineup includes Sy Keeler (vocals),Nige Rockett (guitars),Steve Grice (drums),James Hinder (bass) and the group's latest addition, guitarist Alan Jordan (ex-MIRROR MIRROR, FRANKENSTEIN).
ONSLAUGHT recorded three albums in the late 1980s — including the underrated "In Search of Sanity" (1989, Polydor),featuring ex-GRIM REAPER frontman Steve Grimmett — before calling it a day.
